FAQ

BUT I AM TRYING TO GET MY KID OFF OF SCREENS!?!

This camp is about creating media literacy, we will develop critical ways of looking at media. We will ask questions about the content we are watching like how it was made? What are these videos really saying to us? Young People Create Camp will develop young peoples abilities to contribute to the media they are taking in. We will also have some suggested outdoor activities after our sessions to engage in so they don’t become 100% cyborgs!

WHAT DO I NEED TO PARTICIPATE?

An iPhone preferable or ipad and WIFI, basic arts and crafts supplies you can get at a pharmacy or online. Recycled materials like cardboard and good glue!  Working with what we have will be part of our camp experiment.

WHERE IS IT? In your home! You can sign up from anywhere that you are able to access reliable Wifi.  I am based out of Providence, RI. I will have guest lecturers from all over!
